The Dimarzio pickup combo with Split P and the X2N (from what I see in that pic) is one of the best setups for a multistring bass IMHO. Wouldn't change anything ...

Well is a quite simple setup Vol (split p) / Stacked-Vol (X2N) / Tone So bass is totally passive now. For havin the chance to go active someday with the pickups or the electronics I ordered an empty battery compartmant with routing as the the FBIV electronic cavity is real small with no extra space. Ebony board. No binding. But hoped it would look like a black binding with the ebony board and it seems it certainly does ...
