  1. The first one I ever saw was SirDan's at one of the Midwest Hamer jams at the Muse and fell in love instantly. The ruby finish just glowed. I eventually got one from Make'n Music (3 of 25) and then sold it to finance something. Now I'm hugely jonesing for another one. I think that's my favorite Hamer ever. The bling was just at the right level to make it beautiful without being over the top (like the Ultimate's are, IMHO). yum yum.
  2. Happy Birthday Young Master
  3. Jorge's picture actually makes the guitar look like that semi-transparent yellow/brown finish that Hamer put on some solid mahogany Standards, Specials, Prototypes and Monacos. A solid mahogany TLE in that color with the covered bridge pickup and Barden singles...what a cool thing that would be.
  4. The Frick Collection (a professor once said it was the place with the least bad stuff) Perilla: The restaurant in the West Village run by Harold Deiterle, the decent guy who won the first season of Top Chef Ping's restaurant in Chinatown See if Eugene Mirman is playing (he does a weekly comedy show somewhere in the village a few blocks East of the Strand Bookstore) If there's anything playing at Radio City, see it. The building is a monument to Art Deco
  5. Nothing like the infant Clint Howard with prosthetic teeth to make your thirsty
