cynic Posted August 22, 2024 Posted August 22, 2024 The more beat up the better as they'll better match the patina of the guitar. I've got an old Greco semi-hollow and would like a set of quality humbuckers in gold. Pickups don't need to be a match brandwise, but matching gold tone would be nice. Trade preferred but I'm open to cash deals as well if we end up on the inexpensive side of things. I've got a few sets of pickups I can trade, including sets of singles from Lollar, Fender Custom Shop, Fender Josaphina winds, Seymour Everything Axe, Seymour Classic Stack Plus (neck and middle position), and a Pariah Las Lunas (I think? It's the red one and that appears to be the only one they sell in that style). Most of these are loaded in guards ready to go. For humbuckers, I've got Dimarzio P90 sized Deluxe Plus/Super Distortion set, EMG 89x set, Seymour Duncan SH-16 59 Custom Hybrid, and a Pariah Pasadena White. Lots of other various pieces and parts if you're looking for something specific. Quote
Jakeboy Posted August 23, 2024 Posted August 23, 2024 If you have uncovered buckers you like, it might be easier to just buy a set of gold covers….you can even have someone age/patina them. 1 Quote

True...I've done that in the past but these days I'm into hassle-free plug-n-play simplicity. 13 hours ago, RobB said: I have a gold set of Seth Lovers for sale/trade. Those would really fit the bill but I hesitate at the shiny. 1 Quote
kizanski Posted August 28, 2024 Posted August 28, 2024 I have a pair of gold humbuckers from a 2001 Les Paul Custom sitting inmy parts drawer. Unfortunately, they're in really good shape, but if you like, I can kick them around my driveway before I send them to you. 5 Quote

You have to provide some flowing verbiage about the skilled Artisan and his old school methods that will tastefully and sustainably apply the aging..🤔 2 Quote
Cboss Posted August 29, 2024 Posted August 29, 2024 Here are some gold authentically dinged up really excellent pickups for a pretty reasonable price https://reverb.com/item/84356196-vintage-1970s-ibanez-super-70-humbucker-pickups-wiring-assembly-made-in-japan 1 Quote
cynic Posted August 29, 2024 Author Posted August 29, 2024 Thanks so much for your invaluable help. I hadn’t thought to look on the most popular website people use to sell the type of thing I’m looking for. 1 1 Quote

Anything I'm looking for I save the search on reverb, and then I check the feed a couple times a day, it's amazing what shows up but the downside is you have to pay tax, I don't really mind on small stuff but on an amp for instance I'm getting to the point of refusing to do it, tax has already been paid at least once 2 Quote
