Anyone have ay idea what these might be?  They were installed in the 80 Special that Dave's recently had listed.

I’m no detective but I think I know who bought that 1980 Special from Dave’s with the headstock repair and the changed out pickups.

What is the DC resistance?

The three adjustment screws look like ibanez/maxon to me, double hex pole pieces could be a V2, their version of a super distortion (excellent)

Congrats on snagging that guitar, that was really beautiful and a good price

Based purely on the hex poles, I'm guessing a Dimarzio Super Distortion. It would be about right...

These measure 13.13 and 13.44 ohms.  I'm guessing they're ceramic magnets and would be more appropriate for a much pointier guitar.

Super Distortions would have DiMarzio  markings engraved on the back of the baseplate and 2, rather than 3 mounting tabs.  These probably sound similar though.

At that DCR I'm pretty sure those are Maxon V2s, which are alnico 5. Their version of a super distortion.

Sure Murkat.

Japanese put DiMarzios clones by Maxon or Gotoh on their early 80s guitars, Aria/Matsumoku guitars but also Tokai ( I have one on my parts bin).
