black magic Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 Anybody have one laying around they would sell me? These were made by Gripmaster for keeping a Floyd level while restringing your guitar and such. Thanks-Jack.
edgar_allan_poe Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 Jack...take a towel or sock and put it under the back of the trem. When you take the strings off, the towel or sock will keep the trem from going too far back. It works perfectly. No need to spend any money on something like the unit you are looking for.
BCR Greg Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 Popsicle sticks. Bomb Pop sticks work extremely well. (clean them of all the silly ice cream, first!) Yum.
black magic Posted April 30, 2006 Author Posted April 30, 2006 Good suggetions fellas. I know the Tremolok is discontinued, but the guys that have them love them!! They are padded on 1 side to protect the guitar and are a perfect thickness for non-recessed floyds. While I look for the illusive Tremolok I will use some other method. thanks-Jack. Pic of said Tremolok
HAMERMAN Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 Use a stack of 3x5 post-it notes. You can easily adjust the stack to the right size and the stickiness of the bottom sheet will keep it from sliding out of place.
silentman Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 I've got one I'd sell for $350, lol. These things are cool. I've heard a 9-volt in the recess cavity will fo the trick as well. If it's not a recessed floyd, I guess you can't do that.
