Cboss Posted May 28 Posted May 28 The seller tells me that these are the original pickups (97 artist), I'm guessing either Seth lover or antiquities? Can anyone chime in with a more educated guess? Quote
0 kizanski Posted May 28 Posted May 28 Your guess would be on target, but there’s no way to tell if those are original from the nickel covers. Tell him to shoot you a picture of the bottom of the pickups. Quote

He's a player and I don't think would take it apart; I guess the question was more given the vast knowledge of hamer practices on this site what would be the likely pickup in that year/ guitar / beat up nickel finish? Take it apart? He changes strings, doesn’t he? It’s 4 fucking screws. 1 Quote

Upon further review... I may be wrong... here's a different one with reliced covers... 🤣 Edited May 29 by Dave Scepter Quote
0 DaveL Posted May 29 Posted May 29 They look like good pickups (the covers have the vintage correct look that fit the rings properly) I've noticed Hamer in the past has done chrome hardware but nickel covers (eclipse for example) so it's possible they are original, the aging that shows the string path etc, might be a little much for a 20 year old guitar...
