hamerhead Posted November 12, 2025 Posted November 12, 2025 As you know, I picked up what seems to be a fairly rare Nashville(?) T-51F From Dave's: Great little guitar. Everything appeared to be original, except for the added mini toggle, possibly the pots, and the associated nasty wiring. I did a quicky rewire to make it functional from stuff I had laying around (it's not pretty), but now would really like to put it back to the way it came out of the factory. The problem is, I don't know what that is. The Fishman and middle pickup takes it out of the 'normal' Tele realm and I don't know where to even begin looking. Help! ...here we go again.... Quote
Hbom Posted November 12, 2025 Posted November 12, 2025 I'm sure there are fans here that know. This is the best I can do. HAMER T-51 Fishman Power Bridge (Model T51F) for sale - Price and Used Value 1 Quote
velorush Posted November 12, 2025 Posted November 12, 2025 (edited) From this thread: It appears stock wiring omitted the Tone control to maintain the standard two-knob layout and provide a volume control for the Piezo. Logically then, the Piezo volume would come after the switch, wired as a Blender knob. ETA:? That was posted as a statement whereas it should have been posted as a theory - I have no idea. I'd be really tempted to go with a stacked pot on the Tone control to keep a Tone for the electric pickups and a Volume for the piezo. Edited November 12, 2025 by velorush 1 Quote
velorush Posted November 12, 2025 Posted November 12, 2025 Just found this photo of a "Dead Mint" example and it has the same mini switch: Could it be, rather than a blend knob, the piezo circuit is enabled by the mini switch? I hadn't taken that possibility into account due to the comment above of "added mini toggle." 1 Quote
velorush Posted November 12, 2025 Posted November 12, 2025 Found this thread that provides even more information: Sorry to be bombarding the thread, but I have a very technical email I am trying to compose and the distraction is helpful for getting my conscious brain out of the way of attempted expression (or something like that). 🤔 2 Quote
Victor (Fret Friend) Posted November 12, 2025 Posted November 12, 2025 Nashville's with piezo have a stacked pot. Sure I had a wiring diagram way back: I'll look for it but don't build your hopes up: my backup drive fizzed out on me and as things are I can get nothing off of it... 1 Quote

It had 2 mini toggles when I got it - 1 looked stock (not sure if it was), the other kinda jammed in along side it. My pea brain couldn't comprehend it all, as neither functioned in a way that made sense to me. Which is why I was wondering what the stock configuration was. Not sure about a blend control. I mean I get it, but the separate volume on the Fishman should accomplish the same thing, no? If I can't find out how it came from Hamer, I'd go with a stacked pot for the normal pickups, a regular volume control for the Fishman, and no blend/mini switches at all. The cleaner the better. Who from the factory might have such knowledge? Who was their wiring guy? Is there anyone I can ask? 2 Quote
