Hamer Slammer Series Telecaster

I've just bought an MIK Hamer Tele.

S/n 406236

Is there any information out there about these guitars. Its cherry sunburst, maple neck, gold hardware black pickguard, and looks the business. 
Is there any love for them? I don't even know when this series was made.

The Korean serials mean nothing! It was made between 1992 and 1998 probably at the original Cort (Cortek) factory. Production stopped in Korea in 1998 for most import models. Later import deluxe models were made in Korea between 2000 and 2002… 

 

The Slammers are very good guitars and likely have Duncan Designed pickups (likely made by Artec in Korea). I personally love Artec pickups…

Clarification: The 'Slammer Series' guitars are arguably the best of the imports. The 'Slammer' guitars suck ass.

I always thought that the name "Slammer" did a disservice to the Hamer name since it furthered the mispronunciation (and spelling) "Hammer" for the USA models.
No wonder no one outside of Hamer fans knew what they were called, where they were made, if they were still made, etc.

They should have been called Slamers.

Or not made at all.

Probably that last part.
