golem Posted March 7 Posted March 7 (edited) I think I mentioned that PAS was blowing out J Rockett pedals but this one wasn't included earlier. One thing it's taught me is that the diodes may sound somewhat different but not enough for me to buy into the magic diodes in the original Klons. Also, one of the diode options is the same as the Jeff Archer that now costs a small fortune so if you wanted a Jeff and couldn't afford one, this might be the one to get. I already got Sweetwater to match the Rockway Archer price and got that one. But I love EQ so it's not really surprising that it's my favorite take on the Klon/KTR. Fun fact, Rockett originally build the KTR. They had a business disagreement that didn't go well and they've made an absurd # of takes on the circuit since then. Having played an Archer next to a real Klon it was very close. Edited March 7 by golem Videos 1 Quote

Have a link? It's for the red 'limited edition' one: (not sure if they have a shipping charge direct) https://www.proaudiostar.com/j-rockett-audio-designs-archer-select-overdrive-pedal-limited-edition-red.html Or via ebay, 'free shipping' https://www.ebay.com/itm/306794009320 Edited March 7 by Tortious 2 Quote
golem Posted March 10 Author Posted March 10 Yes, only the red one is being discontinued and blown out. I think Sweetwater was getting rid of these 4-5 months ago. Quote
stedge Posted March 10 Posted March 10 Tbh if a klon is one’s thing seems pretty good. May just grab one. 1 Quote
Drew816 Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Well... There goes another $170 for yet another overdrive pedal! 😉 I'll be curious to see how this stacks with my other Klon's, let alone 808/9, my original/first pedal I ever bought HM2, etc. 1 Quote
