How to tell a real Gibson from a fake

They never get the finish appearance correct either. If it's got gold hardware it always looks wrong.

I just watched that the other night too, I though it was good. The truss adjust nut is probably the best clue, the fakers would really have to go to some effort to do a Gibson style truss rod nut. 

Whenever I see one at a pawn shop, I always start by assuming it's a fake
