FS: Custom Phantom Custom w/Custom-Custom

O.K., the poop has officially hit the fan here and I am needing to liquidate the majority of my collection. I will list the Hamers here first before sending them to Evilbay, and this will be the first of several to go. This is a former Tomterrific piece that came my way via trade recently and will be missed, but so be it. 1998 Phantom Custom in Sunburst with the following mods:

Duncan Custom-Custom in the bridge, stock single-coils.

1 pot added and controls as follows: 1 humbucker volume. 1 single-coils volume, master tone, 3-way toggle. The single-coil volume pot pulls up to add the middle single independently and cuts one coil from the bridge pickup for some "quack".

Clear pickguard added but also comes with a Tortoise and white pearloid guards.

The guitar has a big neck, sounds fantastic, and is in great cosmetic shape with a repaired "Hameritis" spot at the neck heel being the only issue. Comes in the OHSC in great shape as well.

The mods and finish repair were done by BCR Greg if I recall correctly, so decide accordingly. Looking for $825 shipped in the lower 48. Paypal or other certified funds accepted and references are available if needed.

Like I mentioned earlier, this is the beginning of a major clearing-out, so keep an eye out for many cool pieces to come out of the "vault". I have several USA Schecters, some vintage Ibanez stuff, a few Japanese Yamaha guitars, tons of pedals and a few vintage and semi-vintage tube amps for sale, just let me know if anyone needs a full list of items available. Peace.

Z is a pleasure to deal with and this is one screamin' helluva guitar.

BTW, it's a Custom 5 in the bridge, unless Zoner changed it. I'd buy this back if I could, especially with that super-sweet clear guard.

Thanks for the kind words and correction on the pickup, Mr. Terrific, butr I sure liked saying Custom- Custom better! I got the pickguard from Jeannie pickguards in Pittsburg, CA. and it was reasonably priced. Z

Well, this didn't go on Evilbay with an opening bid of $699 so I'll toss it back here for $725 shipped hoping someone will save me the hassle of answering a million questions from kids on the computer. I'll probably relist it next week if there is no interest. Or I'll drive down to Dave's guitar and see if they want to sell it for me next to the one they are asking almost 1k for. Z

This one runs faster, jumps higher, has more cylinders, will cure your asthma, starts your coffeemaker in the morning and gets better gas mileage. If I wasn't under the double whammy of paying for my own higher education and having to take time away from work to get it, I'd buy this back in a heartbeat.

It's a one of a kind and a damn good one, folks.

........and has been sold to a gentleman in Florida who is replacing stuff lost in last years hurricanes. Thanks for the words, Mr Terrific, now wax eloquent about the virtues and libido lifting properties of the Hamer 2 Tek Cruisebass, wouldja?? :D

For the record, I did the electronics on that guitar. It now has two volumes and a tone with a toggle and push/pull for the extra pickup. A much easier and toneful setup than that stpid rotary 5 way. If they would have put Sustain Blocks on those.....
