Wayne Posted June 2, 2006 Posted June 2, 2006 Let me know if you are selling an Hamer Artist Ultimate (ARTULT). It must have a thin / modern neck because my hands are small. Thanks, Wayne
stonge Posted June 2, 2006 Posted June 2, 2006 there is one listed at www.chrisguitars.com - number 36 from 2002 and it has the skinny neck according to his description. not a bad deal at $2599 (i think the current list price is around $6500) IMHO. I'm not affiliated with the site, but I've bought a few guitars from Chris and been very satisfied with the deal (got a great Robin Ranger from him that is never far out of reach). Good luck in your search - the Ultimates are great guitars. I've played a couple, and that model seems to be correctly named IMHO.
Bluesking Posted June 2, 2006 Posted June 2, 2006 Chris is top notch in every way - no worries in buying from him. I've bought 5 instruments from Chris in the last 3 years and each one was in better condition than described, had a perfect setup, and not one issue.
marcnorth Posted June 2, 2006 Posted June 2, 2006 I'm surprised no one has bought this one. $475 is a good price.http://www.chrisguitars.com/hamer88calif-bk.jpg
Nuclear Wessel Posted June 2, 2006 Posted June 2, 2006 Wayne, Artist Ultimate on EBay now! Say this yesterday. Man is that nice! Got a bid in yet?
anotherfreak2 Posted June 2, 2006 Posted June 2, 2006 I know that guitar! it lives up the street from me! He ordered it with abalone instead of MOP. It has a medium neck, Nice!!!! I'd be happy to wrap my hands around it for a review if anybody is interested
Wayne Posted June 3, 2006 Author Posted June 3, 2006 Thanks for the info, folks. Checking the guitars out now.Wayne
Wayne Posted June 5, 2006 Author Posted June 5, 2006 Apparently the Ultimates don't have a neck as thin as I like. The neck on my 1996 Artist Custom is perfect for me. I checked with Chris and he said the one at his store is more of a medium size with a rounded back profile. Ah well, back to the drawing board.Wayne

Wayne Posted June 7, 2006 Author Posted June 7, 2006 Thanks again for all the ideas. I'm contemplating my next move. Maybe I should just bedazzle my Artist Custom, which I like so well What is a bedazzler? Wayne
