johnnieboy Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 http://s132.photobucket.com/albums/q36/johnnieboy2/Hi,Thought I would share a 'custom' guitar that I got in trade a few months back...This one has a sort of oversized Tele body, which is chambered. A small dobro ring (yep, I'm serious) is added in the upper bout which is also (dead serious) lit up when plugged in! This does work as a soundhole. The body is mahogany, the neck and headstock is solid cocobolo, with a maple fretboard. The body grain shows through the finish which is unusual but nice. It has a super nice P90 installed, a LR Baggs (tunomatic style)acoustic bridge and Baggs ControlX, vol, tone and splitter control. Input is stereo for use with mono as well as split Y cable to two amps. Dead on tuning and a super built guitar. The wiring access panel on the back is wood not plastic. I wish I could find the Luthier who made this just to know the whole story behind it. Totally unique! Johnnieboy

johnnieboy Posted November 13, 2006 Author Posted November 13, 2006 That's a PRS neck on that isn't it?It resembles one, but I do not think it is. The guitar is entirely hand made. Chunky neck. Guitar weighs in at 9 lbs.John

El Kabong Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 It `*could* be an early prototype from Saul Koll.
