Budget is around $500. Epiphone's are OK. What have you got? I've got this for sale: (click on photo) It's a European (Czech) made Dean eVo Deluxe. LP based design, Mahogany body, thick maple top-flamed, not a veneer, ebony fretboard with abalone dot inlays. 500k pots, Dean humbuckers. Easily tops a Korean Epiphone for quality, and I'm asking $450 shipped. See the other pics at the link too.

The one's I've played are great. Can the Evo cop LP tone?My take is it can come close, but it's not a clone. I have Wolfetone Marhallheads in the guitar now, which do get a killer LP PAF sound, but I'm keeping the Wolfetones.

Plays better than my Gibson les Paul Standard. http://store.guitarfetish.com/xaviereguitars.html Never heard of them. Tell us more! I have the or one of the prototype(s). Mine differs from the production by not having push/pull pots and mine is pretty heavy. The ads say they average like 8 pounds. I don't have a scale but mine must be 10 pounds. It is a great sounding guitar. I really like the GFS Fat PAFs in it, especially the neck. Enough that I bought a set of their 59s and put in my LP classic. The pots an hardware are all GFS stuff. It stays in tune well. Mine needs to have the trussrod tweaked some, but I've never tried cause I'm a lazy and no guitar tech. I lent mine to the rhythm guitar player of Jason01's band, Downfall, and he loved it and it sounded great through his marshal rig. Holy shit. 501 posts?
