tomteriffic Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 As part of Tom's "what the hell are you doing with this many fretted instruments?" sale, I'm offering up the first of what will probably be several offerings, including guitars, maybe a bass or 3, parts etc.First up: a recent Fender FMT HH Tele type. I'll get pics later, but if you follow This Link to Zzounds, hit the "Amber" box under the pic, and then the "See full size image" you'll see nearly exactly what I'm talking about.Set neck, Two humbuckers (for some reason, this one came with factory Duncans, a '59 and a Pearly Gates), coil tap in the tone control, set wide thin neck, big honkin' frets, cool looking smoked-chrome hardware, raised silver logo, bound neck with big abalone dots. It's some of the nicest overseas work I've seen (It's Korean). Other than some polish/pick swirling, it's excellent, still has the QC sticker on the control cavity cover. Very versatile, tonally speaking, not real heavy either. It's a good looker and a good player. As you can see, Zzounds wants $630 shipped. Step your kid up to a decent axe or use this as a very roadworthy but replaceable gig guitar. I'll put it in a gig bag, double-box it and put it on your doorstep for $370. Add for PayPal. CONUS only, I'm trying to move this.Edit to add: Tummy cut, and a mahogany body with carved top and maple veneer.
mattb Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 If its still here by mid week I'll probably jump.
DavidE Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 That looks sweet! I'd consider it except for the wide thin neck (thank goodness).
tomteriffic Posted December 12, 2006 Author Posted December 12, 2006 Bump for the "Payday's on the 15th" crowd. And Dave, it doesn't weigh ANYTHING.

MCChris Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 I had a Korean Esquire that I reckon had the exact same neck profile as this one. If you dig necks like the ones most Centauras had, you should snap this one up.
tomteriffic Posted December 14, 2006 Author Posted December 14, 2006 Say Matt, it's past midweek.....

Thanks, though.
mattb Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 Say Matt, it's past midweek..... I still have about 50 people to shop for on my Christmas list. If I have the extra loot after the shopping excursion this weekend, I will take it.
