Chap Elite for Sale!

SOLD!!!!

This guitar will be the odd man out with my Studio Custom coming in today, so I'm looking to move it. It has a very beefy neck (feels close to vintage carve to me), definitely not shredder thin. Overall it's in good shape, but it's obviously been played. No dings through to the wood, but it has a little neck wear and the frets could use a dressing. This was formerly owned by the famous (?B)) guitarist "Flippo" and has been inscribed as such in a few locations (neck plate, Floyd fine tuners, and case). Also, when I first got it, I must have been overzealous in cleaning it or something and damaged the original PATB1 bridge pickup (it worked fine before I started cleaning it up DOH!). I had a PATB1 in my parts box, so I installed it and it works fine; however, as you can see, the replacement PATB1 has the Seymour Duncan logo whereas the original did not.

Here's a pick of the front:

I'm looking for $700 shipped (PayPal is fine). Not looking to do any trades unless of course you have a set-neck Cali you want to get rid of ;). Thanks for looking.

Your linky no worky.

Would like to see the xtra pics before deciding to get myself in trouble B)

Stupid Q, but for fret dressing, there would still be enough there for good play? Also (another SQ), did you put in a bridge PATB1 (15.7k vs 7.5k for neck)?

Cool guitar.

My link was missing a forward slash (DOH!); it should be fine now.

The pickup I installed is the same as what was originally in there, a PATB1 Bridge pickup; it just has a logo whereas the original did not. There's also the stock PATB1 Neck in the neck and the PATB-STK in the middle.

As far as the frets go, I'm not sure if there would be enough left after a fret-dressing or not; that would kind of depend on how big you like your frets. I tried to take a close-up shot of the frets to show the wear, but it ends up making it look like there's no wear at all. I'll try to take a better pic tonight (when I take a break from playing the studio). Also, for some reason, the pics aren't all showing up full size when you click on them in Photobucket. Make sure you click on the "Full Size" link (right underneath the picture title) after clicking on the picture to get the full view.

I added some more pictures of the fretwear to the photobucket site; http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v157/atquinn1975/Chap/

Here's a representative pic:

There's no real fretwear past the 12th fret and the fretwear below that is mostly confined to the top 3 strings. It was very hard to get a good photo of it. Now someone buy this guitar before I put it on eBay dammit! B)
