The song Take Your Mama might be the best party/dance song since The Bee Gees heyday. They also do a dance version of Comfortably Numb and the new single is Laura. Very Elton John meets ABBA. If you're open to that kinda thing check 'em out!

They were on Leno last night. My first impression was that they were freakish and I hated the performance, but then, oddly, it became less repulsive to the point that I actually watched the rest of the song. I couldn't tell you what song they played though.

They released the album in Europe first I think.

And they´ve had great success over here.

I was actually lucky to catch a gig with them

here in Sweden in June last year.

They where awesome live. Great stuff.

I love them and have played their album so

it's nearly worn out. Great songs, great groove, great parrtayy.

I thought Take Yer Mama Out was pretty good, but the covers didn't have much of a shelf life with me.

They're very big in the UK right now. I was over there for 2 weeks vacation and I thought they were a UK band...

They were on SNL a few weeks back. Pretty bizarre visually but definitely grooved and the guitarist played some cool riffs IMO.

I've seen them twice in the last 6 months, with the last time being a month ago. They are a very fun party band, with great vocals and stage presence. It's really a cool vibe at one of their shows. They do a lot of instrument switching on stage, taking turns playing bass, lead and rhythm guitar, and the occasional keyboard.

Their cd crosses many genres, and it's got a very modern seventies feel in a disco and R & B kind of way. They're reminiscent at times of the Bee Gees, Elton John, George Michael, T. Rex and even Pink Floyd. It will be interesting to see what their next release sounds like. I have a feeling their 15 minutes of fame may be close to ending.

Oh, did I mention that they're also very gay? Which is why the shows are so much fun. It's an extremely varied crowd. Much like I imagine Pam's next Cheap Chick show with the Gay-Gays will be!

The song they did on leno was Laura. I almost hear some Jellyfish in there as well. As far as I know Comfortably Numb is the only cover but I could be wrong. I'm diggin' 'em big time!

I don't know if I'd pick up any of their stuff based on the Leno show, but I'll check it out on iTunes.
