MCChris Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 I think that's a Valvestate cab. Great price. Should yield a punchier, less boomy tone than a full-size 4x12, almost along the lines of a 4x10.
Brooks Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 yes. i have a vs412, same thing, smaller footprint, G12L's. i had 2 extra spkrs lying around (vintage 30, weber alnico) which i stuck in it, made a difference.
Hamer95USA Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 Hey black magic, That's a good deal on the Valvestate series guitar cabs. I will have to say this though. I had a friend of mine help my buddy offload his 8412 cab. He grabbed the handle on the cabinet and tore it right off the cab. Marshall is using MDF particleboard which caused this. The cabs are constructed of cheap material and you might want to reconsider this before buying one. Guitar George

black magic Posted January 30, 2007 Author Posted January 30, 2007 Thanks fellas. I figured it was local so........ I may try to talk him down a little since I would pick it up. Ya, I don`t like cheap gear, so I don`t want to pay alot for this to just try it out so to speak :-) How are these speakers? How are they voiced? I know they gotta be China made. Thanks again-Jack.
black magic Posted February 1, 2007 Author Posted February 1, 2007 Thanks Brooks!! Ya man, looks like 35 watt speakers, holy cow they must break up early!! Jack.
