AMP Kit Projects - Who is Working on one?

Since I did my first kit last year (18 watt Marshallesque TMB) I'll be looking to do another, maybe a Tweed Deluxe, after I move and get my garage setup with a proper work space.

Anyone looking to to build or in the process of building an amp? I'm always looking for ideas and to enhance my paltry knowledge on the subject.

I have a couple in waiting - a Deluxe Reverb and a Super Reverb chassis that both need cabinets. I may do something "unusual" with both of them as far as a speaker complement goes.....

Then, there will be a '79 SVT rebuild including my first crack at tolex.

As far as kits go, Weber has a big tube bass amp in the pipeline that is supposed to be available soon. Of course, that's what I thought 6 months ago. I may try that one once I clear the bench.

no kits but I just recently finished my 18 watter. Channel 1 sounds great channel 2 has some problems. I am still trouble shooting. The cab won't be ready for a couple of more weeks so I put it in a homemade head box.

Next is a DR then maybe a 50 watt bass head.

My guitar player is an avid amp builder. He uses Weber kits and has built many; they are all he plays at our gigs and he has built them for other local musicians including our harp player. If you have specific questions, send me a PM and I'll ask him. Not surprisingly, he can talk for hours about this topic.

I've got parts for a Trainwreck Express and a Liverpool (EL-34 and EL-84) waiting my attention. Been so busy, have hardly had time to change pickups, much less complete an amp

Seriously, look into doing an Express - not simple simon simple, but has now been researched a LOT and is relatively straightforward. Important: follow the physical layout; Ken F. was a genius. Go to Ampgarage

I've done a Lightning, an 18 watter and a hombrewed 50 marshall in a Fender combo chassis. I'm probably going to build a trainwreck based amp next time out, but I need to get some crap out of my music room first! I'm helping a friend with a Weber 5E3x2 (doulble deluxe) and the moment and the tweed deluxe overall is really simple.

Got trannys yet? I have an OT and PT I need to get away from me lest I succumb to the siren's lure.

Alas, fear for me, for I have trannies galore. Tonesluts to be exact. The siren has sung, and I have been ensnared.
