atquinn Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 I recently (as in, today) acquired yet another one of Poe's former guitars so these are going to have to go. Diablo II w/ OHSC - $550 shipped This is in very good condition. Ebony board, satin neck (which is shredder thin), stock wiring, virtually no fretwear. This is a great-sounding guitar capable of lots of different tones, but it's just not getting enough playing time. The case has a sticker on it, but is otherwise in good condition (just a few dings on the surface). (goto http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v157/atq...75/Diablo%20II/ for more pics) Setneck Californian w/ OHSC - I know, I know, what the hell is wrong with me?!? At any rate this is in very good condition, but it's not stock. When I got it, it had a push-pull knob to split the bridge pickup (I don't believe this is stock, but I could be wrong). After I got it, I replaced the PATB1 with a PATB2 and replaced the PA-STK with a Hot Rails which I also wired to the push-pull pot so now both pickups can be split. Very useful IMO. I'll throw in the original PATB1 to whoever buys the guitar in case they want to put it back in (the PA-STK is long gone; I hate those damn things! ). I'll get some detailed up-to-date pics up in a day or so, but if you're interested, PM or email me for pricing. Seymour Duncan Distortion Neck pickup, black: $50 shipped I'm not interested in any trades unless you have a Larrivee OM-3 you want to get rid of. Thanks for looking. -Austin
Mikel Thomas Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 What do you want for the californian? I have been searching for one for years. I think I might have even asked if you were interested in selling at one time. Let me know! atquinn Posted June 14, 2007 Author Posted June 14, 2007 As promised, here are some Cali pics (please go to http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v157/atquinn1975/Cali/ for all the pictures). After going over this guitar during the process of taking photos, I'd call the condition very good. Fret-wear wise there are a few grooves in some "cowboy chord" areas, but it's otherwise very light. I took pictures of a small ding on the back of the headstock and and some scratches/a tiny burn by the control plate, but that's it. Also, the trem cover is included with the guitar (it was just off when I was taking some of the pics). Finally, the guitar is a pretty uniform cream color, pictures with the flash make it look splotchier than it is. (fat cat not included ) Email or PM me for pricing. Also, while I said I wasn't interested in any trades, I'd be willing to bend that rule as long as some cash on your end was involved. Thanks for looking. -Austin
zorrow Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 Sell it to Mikel! He does want one since ever --though I don't know if that's the exact model he's looking for.BTW, was that Jon's guitar?
atquinn Posted June 14, 2007 Author Posted June 14, 2007 Which one did ya get?The Archtop Jackson that I believe Jack had after you?-Austin
cmatthes Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 He'll sale ya, but I can't imagine that one will sell for cheap! Those things are pretty scarce.
edgar_allan_poe Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 The Archtop Jackson that I believe Jack had after you?-AustinKiller guitar. One of my favorites.
edgar_allan_poe Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 Here is what he is getting...killer guitar in every way.
atquinn Posted June 15, 2007 Author Posted June 15, 2007 Already have it actually . It's like the Cali version of my Studio (including the very thick mahogany body). I had to put in some mini-knobs so I could actually get to the pickup switch, but other than that it's great so far. I'll probably end up swapping out the pickups eventually because I can't help myself, but otherwise it's a keeper. -Austin
edgar_allan_poe Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 it's a keeperThank god, 'cuz that is a guitar that deserves to be played/loved. Great score!!!
