Very nice.

What is the neck profile like?

Thank you.

Thicker than a mid 90's carve, but not as large as say a '58 LP. I'd say it's right between the two.

I don't know if you can do this but I'd really like to know what the sustainblock does to how the guitar sounds and plays compared to the standard tuneomatic setup.

Tough question.

I dug up this old thread:

Click

I don't think I can make a fair tonal comparison between the two since this guitar never had a TOM/Stoptail. I can and will say great things about the Sustain Block and I welcome any more opinions from the experts 'round here:

  • I prefer string through bodies. I'm no engineer, but it makes sense to me for the strings to pass through and anchor to the body rather than anchor to a piece of metal that is pulled against another piece of metal that is screwed into another piece of metal that is mounted to the body.
  • It's a cool palm rest, particularly when partially muting strings.
  • Tho non-traditional, I think it looks cool and allows more of the top to show.
  • The craftsmanship is beautiful, expertly machined by a fellow HFC'er. (How cool is that?)

Thanks!

Beautiful geetar. Does this have the 24.75 or 25.5" scale on it?

Thank you. It's chambered like a Superpro, but has the 24.75" scale and the smaller body of the Elite. And it weighs in at just 8 lbs on my balance scale.

That is still one of the coolest Elites ever.
