FS: '94 USA DuoTone - 3 Holes / Rio Grande Pups / Mods

This hurts. I will regret this. But GAS hit of a 25.5 scale variety. Once I heard it, I had to have it. So...now I've got to pay the bills.

This is a DT I purchased from BCR Music in the spring of this year. It is hands down the best DT I've played. It is also the guitar that made me stop playing my archtop custom that I bought brand new from Makin' Music in Chicago after I graduated from school.

This DT resonates so well and the tone is awesome. You want to play Thin Lizzy, Black Sabbath - no problem. You want to riff like Les Paul or Chet Atkins - if you have the talent, this guitar will not let you down.

Mr. Platzer's modifications include the addition of Rio Grande pups and special tweak so that you can play in the electric and acoustic at the same time. Roll up the gain and add a little delay to the acoustic and you're a one man dual guitar attack. A little Hameritis. No surprise. Some pick marks - it's spruce. No surprise. It still looks great.

I paid $1,000 and that's what I'm looking for. You pay for PayPal fees and we'll split the shipping. Sorry about this Greg.

I'd rather deal with HFC and keep it in the family, but bills must be paid so it goes on EBay soon.

Best regards,

Looks just like mine, except I have the dual Zebra Rio Grande BBQ/Genuine Texas set. These guitars are so great. Mine will be for sale as soon as I find a black 3 holer (get your mind out of the gutter!).

I KNOW THAT GUITAR! Actually, I've played it several times. It IS a good one. I've owned a few Duotones and that's one I definitely remember.

OK, so what 25.5 thing got you to sell the Duotone?!

I sold my Studio Custom back in Sept. and the aforementioned DuoTone for a Talladega! It's an amazing instrument. It cuts across all sorts of lines. But I'm missing that double humbucker/mahogany vibe already. Sending out the feelers for a "player's" Vector/Monaco/Chappy - dings don't bug me.

I sold the DT to a new comer - Marshal. He's a really good guy in Central PA. It was a pleasure and it was especially nice to keep the guitar in the HFC family.
