Isn't that kind of like putting a Chevy logo on a Cadillac? :P To each his own... post pix when you're done building it!

Yeah ... I don't like the look of a blank headstock and I don't want to put a Warmoth decal on there ... primarily because of the stupid questions "Whats a Warmoth?" Where is it made?" "Why did you build your own guitar?" "Why didn't you get a Strat?" There ya go ... it's a Strat, now leave me alone :P

I hear you. At the risk of a thread hijack I'll relay a tale:

I recorded a band whose guitar players both had mexi teles. I brought out my aged 61-like Steve Cropper-esque USACG tele clone when it came time to record guitars. It has a 60s headstock decal. Both players agreed it sounded and played way better than their teles and they used it on 95% (with different amps and pedals) of the guitar tracks for the album. During mixing one of them was commenting on how sweet the guitars sounded and asked me what kind of tele that was that they used. I explained that it was a clone and was not built by Fender. They both sh*t bricks and seriously considered re-recording parts for about five minutes. I had to talk them off the ledge with some very solid arguments about listening with the ears and not the eyes. Bottom line, people are stoopid and brainwashed by the media and advertising. Get the decal and shut them up.

My Nash Tele has a Fender decal. Anybody who owns or plays one will tell you they kick major ass. Nash uses Warmoth parts.

Get a decal for self defense and avoid the stupidity.
