Go to the Post Office and ask for EMS shipping. Should be a more reasonable rate <$150.

The dollar is pretty weak at the moment, I had a guitar sent to me last week from Ohio for $80 on a 3-5 day delivery. that's £40.

Having said that i swear never to use US mail for large items again, nothing wrong with the us- mail as such but they handed it over to parcelforce when it got to customs and good god they are dire.

It took 8 days for it to get in the country, then 3 days to get to my local hub and then they wouldn't let me pick up the guitar until I had recieved a letter from them to confirm my I.D... I ignored that and just turned up with my driving license and some attitude.
