I would venture a guess that MSRP will be close to $4000 or up since a studio custom is $3500 now.

I didn't know SCs were 3500$ new. It just reinforces to me what a great deal I got on mine used.

Just a simple question: how does anybody know that a log that has sat "covered in a bog" has been cured to the point that it is stable, won't crack, etc.? I am not being critical, just curious.

No clue...but the wood guys at Hamer are as good as they get. If they say it is ready to go, it is ready to go. IMHO

Very simple. Digital moisture meters let you know how wet a board is. Ideally, for woodworking, between 7% and 12%.
