Did you see the "Greco" version about a week and a half ago?

Super clean with a fairly low BUY IT NOW... in Japan... lasted all of about 2 hours?

You ain't a-gettin' mine, neithers...

These are great guitars. I had a really nice '75-all original and other than the pickups being a little microphonic at high gain/high volumes, it was fantastic. Sold it in '97 or '98 to fund the purchase of my '76 Standard, so I don't regret getting rid of it, but it's one of two or three guitars I moved along that I've wanted back. They got silly in price in the past year and a half, but after having owned one, I can see why.

I had one for about 15 years. It was an good guitar. I ended up selling it a couple of years ago for $950. I think you could get a used Standard mahagony in the same price range as these are selling right now. My guitar was good, but not great. It played nice but the tones from it weren't that remarkable. Mine was a 1975. They are made out of ash and pancaked together and are pretty heavy. You would be much better off with a solid wood Hamer instead.

$950? Wow, I was offered twice that a couple years ago, and that's when the U.S. buck was worth 30% more then it is now.

...and yours appears to be mint and pristine as well!

Actually there made out of Japanesse Sen wood. looks like Ash, but different. Yup, pancake slabs, but, they have a key signature resonating tone that i find appealing.

Heck, even my Gibson 83' Korina explorer is made out of 2x7 pallet limba slabs... sounds incredable.

My four digit '82 Mahogany Standard is cheaper than what the old Destroyers are selling for these days! I've found that they don't pop up nearly as much as they used to. I think that's where I screwed up. I figured that they'd always be around in some numbers, but if one a month pops up on eBay, that's a flood, which is what's driving prices I suppose.

Yeah, it's only got one mark on it (if I remember correctly) and while it has a Hamer Slammer pickup in the bridge, the neck pickup is stock (cover in the case) and the bridge Super 70 is in the case with it.
