Here's some stuff I'm liquidating for a Hamer purchase so I guess it kinda counts being here?!!

My ebay items for sale

Hey people,

I own a 1992 Marshall 6101 30th Anniversary combo amp in blue vinyl w/ the EV12L speaker. My favorite killer combo amp in my arsenal!! I give ZR a bump on his 6101LM combo amp. He has a fair starting price and his amp has a few extras mine doesn't have (converted to EL-34 tubes (originally had 5881 tubes) & gold Celestion speaker). Check it out!!

No, they say the road to New Orleans is paved with good intentions or something like that! I cleaned things up a bit, did some research, got bolts to secure the chassis from below and tried various tubes in it, but in the end I just have any time to do any other projects.

What I found; It's a very Marshally sounding amp that rocks. It sounds good at low volume and then gets even better as it gets louder. It is one of the most robustly built amps around; the transformers are huge. It's a fairly basic circuit that could be modded fairly easily if desired and if you have the time, but it's not really necessary. It repsonds well to guitar volume changes, tube changes and works well with pedals.

In fact, it changed the way I looked at amps to a certain extent. I had my Marshall 30th Anniversary amp for a few years and I thought it was the end all of all amps. PERFECT for a studio amp due to midi control and every other control and feature you could imagine! All tube guitar signal path and great Marshall sounds. It might not necessarily do every Marshall sound as good as the real Marshall models it emulates but it comes very close and really can get almost any Marshall sound through history and a few of it's own that really rock. So, what changed? After playing the simple one channel Jackson and playing with the volume knob of the guitar I saw what so many other pro guitarists have known for so many years. There are a lot more sounds in a good simple amp than you even need! That's not saying that there's anything wrong with a wide variety of sounds easily called up (midi etc. ) but I just started simplifying things. SO now I just play my Valvetech and a Fender Prosonic amp and I'm happy with that. I'm selling the Jackson and the Marshall amp (and just sold off some other stuff last week) because I'm accumulating too much stuff. It clutters the house and the mind!

Hey kurtsstuff,

You just got another amp again? Dude, I thought you just got the Rivera awhile back. You have a Marshall Plexi now? Cool amp, better get a THD Hot Plate to attenuate the volume.

Well, there is already a bid on it at $185. There is no reserve on it so it may go for cheap. There was one on ebay that sold recently for like $206. That's a lot of amp for a little money!
