bubs_42 Posted July 26, 2008 Posted July 26, 2008 Good gosh, Serial! I am not a great fan of painted guitars, but that green Standard of yours is about the sharpest I have ever seen. Any idea what the official color is called? Beautiful, thanks for sharing... sk That's #0096 (the last one with the long oval control cavity route I believe) and it's officially called Blueburst (it's actually bluer in person). The log books have it nicknamed "Jaws". It's a very early '78. That's badass ! JAW'S ROCKS !
specialk Posted July 26, 2008 Posted July 26, 2008 Jaws, very descriptive name and I can see why! Wow..... I'm sure you have a thousand standing offers of a buyout, but if by any chance those other thousand guys back out, just let me know Again, gorgeous! Congrats and thanks for sharing. sk
vikingrat Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 I would so love to come across one of those at the same time i have money. Never works that way though. What size frets are on the current Hamer Standards?
Punkavenger Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Need a work party to go to Belgium and help Conrad renovate his house!! Love to have you as a foreman Punkavenger can do the decoration..... room, board, airlines ticket a lousy $25 bucks a hour and I'm there Oh yeah, I'm highly allergic to cats so thats a deal breaker
intelligentpony Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 Well...I had some bad ebay experience this week but thanks to you guys I didn't fall for the scam (Serial no. 0219). Now I'm wondering if it's actually possible to find an old seventies or eighties Standard and how much they go for? Maybe you can let me know your opinions on that?ThanksC.Here's your chance.http://cgi.ebay.com/Hamer-Explorer-Custom-...emZ250276198940
