bubs_42 Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 I do not know the seller...http://cgi.ebay.com/JACKSON-USA-PHIL-COLLE...1QQcmdZViewItem
Feynman Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 That BIN price is ridiculous. I think I'll bid the minimum and just ride it out.
unfun 75 Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 That BIN price is ridiculous. I think I'll bid the minimum and just ride it out.Haha!
peedenmark7 Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 players choice series... low serial number.... white..... its pretty cool and if memory serves me fender is no longer allowing jackson to make these...there are cooler versions out there to be had, may seem high now...wait another five years... jacksons are taking off pretty hard right now..
Guest JackButler Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 They can make these still.. its a custom shop piece because of the top and back countours.. the back of these completely mold and wrap around the player.
Feynman Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 That guitar seems really cool to me. There is a yellow version of the same model on gbase that I like even more.I hope my joke wasn't interpreted as questioning the price. It was meant only to jab at the $0.01 difference between the opening bid amount and the BIN price. Seems like a good candidate for a fixed price listing to me.
silentman Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 I like the other Jackson PC's better but these are cool too.
peedenmark7 Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 interesting.... I would think this would fall under a player designed /endorsed piece in which case... a fender no go...still ...cheap for the production era.very cool guitar indeed... almost the same shape as the kip winger basses which I find wonderful and comfortable !
Guest JackButler Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 You can find examples of these PCs floating around with 27 fret extended fingerboards also and some out there have some killer figured maple tops.. they're arch topped and the backs go in AND wrap around.. VERY contoured.. some of the early examples were actually carved/hand shaped by Grover Jackson .. he said it was his favorite but most time consuming and expensive model to make.If you get a custom shop quote sheet..(they may still have those where you can submit quotes straight from they're site.. its still an option as its a Jackson original.. you can even add the 27 fret board as an option.
