bruce919 Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 Is there any other "Angled" or Pointy" guitars right now ,other then the Standard, Vector & Nielsen that Hamer is willing to make?
fruhike Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 I heard that they are willing to make a Scepter, though I am no real position to comfirm this.
JJ Paul Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 Huh...This 'un? Cheers, JJ Paul Very Pointy Fan (check out the whole shebang on http://www.jjm.ch/t-bolt.htm)
bruce919 Posted June 16, 2005 Author Posted June 16, 2005 Thats what I would like them to build but I just got the word from the top. "not at this time"I think that model shown above should be the "Rick Nielsen II" model. I am to the point I might find a custom builder to make me one. Please bombard Hamer with request to make them.
JJ Paul Posted June 17, 2005 Posted June 17, 2005 USA Custom Guitar Works?I posted a pic some months ago where I had taken a Warmoth V body and had photoshopped it around until I got a Flying Z.It could actually be easier than what you think...Keep us updated!JJ Paul
HamStd Posted June 17, 2005 Posted June 17, 2005 What's a Scepter? Is it this one That is not just a scepter, that is the one and only "White Francis" Scepter. Highly sought after piece as the former artist it is named after is an Icon amongst Hamer fans.Peter.

mc2 Posted June 17, 2005 Posted June 17, 2005 Or this....(slightly factory-modded Scepter bodied 12ver bass in pink pearl snakeskin....and yes, red LEDs too w/triple-coil Bart PU.) Probably on the "Top 20" Oddest Hamers list, no?
Guest big steve Posted June 17, 2005 Posted June 17, 2005 those are c00l!! what a great look, who designed that one anyway?even when hamer had all these wild designs out there, they were still tasteful and never jumped the shark.
mc2 Posted June 18, 2005 Posted June 18, 2005 The pink snakeskin 12ver was built for "Wille Basse" (his name is painted on headstock.) He was the bassist for the '80s/'90s all-Black metal band BlackSheep out in Hollywood. He was also in the "Hearing Aid" music video -- metal's answer to "We Are The World" back in the '80s.The smalle than normal Scepter body and the cutaway/extra access on the upper horn are prett cool. I've never seen another Scepter, guitar or bass, that had the extra cutaway acces. Anyone know if Hamer ever did this on any others?
David B Posted June 18, 2005 Posted June 18, 2005 So, will they make a Scepter or not? Does anyone know for sure? I'd like one with a sustain block.
