Slammer Diablo(?) wanted desperately!

Hey all Hamer fans, I´d really appreciate if anyone out there can help me out.

Ten years ago or so I sold my Hamer as I was in desperate need for cash and have been regretting it badly ever since.

So, in part for nostalgic reasons, and as I havn´t played at all in many years and really would like to get started again, I would love to get one just like the one I had or at least something similar.

To the tricky part... Im not sure what I used to have =) I dont have any images of it either...

I am guessing it was an early korean made Slammer Diablo, but I am not sure.

But I know this much;

- It sure was great to play :lol: I sucked, but the guitar wasnt to blame.

- The edges of the headstock looked just like the attached image.

- It had round dot inlays.

- Although very similar to most images I can find of the Slammer Centaura the edges of the body seemed more rounded, the headstock wasn´t flipped though as on most images of the Diablos I´ve seen.

- The color of the body is exactly as the other image below found on the net, what would you call that?

Basically it would look pretty much identical to the two images below combined.

Another tricky thing, I live in Sweden and there aren´t to many early 90s slammers floating around on the market here, and so far I havn´t found anything on ebay either where the seller have been willing to do int. shipping.

So, over to you guys,

What do you think I used have?

What would be a reasonable price for one these days?

Could you point me to a good dealer that might have/or get their hands on one and would be willing to ship it over here?

Do you have an axe like this, or similar and would be willing to send it internationally - in that case, PM me at once!

Well, yes, I guess your guitar was a Hamer Slammer Series Diablo from the nineties like the one here: http://homepage2.nifty.com/nextgear/stock-music/DIABLO.htm

There is a review HERE, but it is in French.

It shouldn't be hard finding one around for a good price. Those are awesome guitars and are not expensive at all. Good luck!

So, I now feel "confident enough" Im looking for a Slammer series Diablo, anyone got one, or would be willing to point me to a good reseller or any other lead that would get me one sent to Sweden, a post or PM would be greatly appreciated!

Haha, more or less so!

If I could find one, I could definitely see myself getting a USA model for that price if the price of the shipping is reasonable as well.

small tip on getting right shipping price - ask seller to remove the neck and pack it into small box. This way shipping will be WAY less. I did it with my Diablo.

I did this for a guitar I sent to Australia. Saved me a huge amount of cash.

Just don't try it with a set neck guitar :blink:

I had a similar thing going on with an old Stellar 1. It was great, I mean supernice with great action and all that. I sold it, then started trying to replace it a few months later. I owned about 3 before I finally gave up. The one I had must have been a fluke because the other ones I had were absolute crap.

I overhauled the Schaller/Floyd Rose bridge and replaced all of the missing parts on the guitar so everything on it is in good condition and gig ready!! PM if you're interested in it.

Is it "twice as good" as a korea slammer series?, I have now found a korean axe for half the price here in sweden, haven't received any images yet but the serial is 325686 if that says anything.

Twice as good? Nah! Just a little better, as those old Korean Slammer Series really rocked.

Hey Cspot, that old slammer sure had a fantastic price!

Well, I went ahead a bought the korean slammer to start with, if I enjoy it as much as I hope Ill probably trade up to a USA model later on.
