yes, it is mine :(

I put it on ebay because I sold it to a HFC member who was unhappy with it and 'poisoned the well' with a post on here.

Maybe I'll just get shouted down on here, but i just wanted to let HFC'ers know..

I offered to take more pics but he wanted to buy it and the fault is also mine for claiming it was 'mint'.

It has buckle rash and some touch-ups. it is not a collector-grade guitar and I found that out the hard way.

But it has no repairs or issues and it sounds great. I played it live with my band for a few weeks. But now we are moving to CA and I am selling everything that's not nailed down. Im just holding on to my G&L F-100 which Ive had since I was 16.

So again.. not collector's grade but a very solid, original guitar (in a non-original case). He went more than a little overboard in complaining about it. Maybe it was just so I would give him his money back but to listen to him talk about it, it sounded like a JB Player from Taiwan that he found in the bottom of a lake. Check out the pics on ebay. Its a Hamer Phantom, goddamnit.

Will sell it to an HFC'er for 750 incl. shipping. or maybe just bid on ebay and get an even better price

write with any questions..

thanks!

Are you denying that the top looks like it does in the photos he posted? Because those pics show a lot of finish issues that don't show up in your ebay photos and there's no mention of the cosmetic issues detailed in that thread.

From the photos that were posted, it's hard to understand how you described it as mint. Kind of a stretch, no?

I think that it's probably a fine guitar, but your ad isn't correct-as posted here, it is not all original-the Kahler is NOT original-that's a Kahler Flyer, which Hamer never installed-they only used the Kahler Pro trems.

Good luck with the sale and I'm not being sarcastic-Phantoms are cool guitars.

I think I do mention in this new posting that there are dings and touch-ups. I think the pics describe the condition of the guitar pretty well. I didn't see the pics he posted. Im a little upset that he went to the lengths he did to dis the guitar BEFORE he even wrote to me to complain.. I refunded his money in full with no arguments.

I truly didn't know about the Kahler replacement. I was told it was all original when I bought it and Im not a Hamer expert I guess. She's a good player and sounds great. Ill be happy to get what I paid for her..

thanks for the comments and for not running me off of the board :(

honesty is the best policy, ESPECIALLY around the Hamer Lunatik Club.

blame in the sale meltdown is shared. you could have avoided difficulties by describing it accurately (ie. player condition with moderate pitting). the buyer who returned it could have done better due dilligence before making a committment (ie. need more pictures, better description). credit due for being a stand-up seller and refunding the deal.

i hope another member finds opportunity in the phantom.

Okay, I think that this has all been covered now. Seller and Buyer of the last transaction reached terms and it's been worked out. You guys know the issues concerning the guitar in question. Let's back off this and let the ad run it's course.
