owen Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Hey everyone - can anyone give me some advice based on experience with this pedal? I really like the "idea" behind the feedback option.I'm looking to reel in some controlled feedback for effect. Any suggestions are more than welcome!
Mindseyes Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 here's Jack Black playing with one Sounds like a fun box, i might have to try and find one...
stormywaters Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 I had one. It was alright, but I didn't find it all that useful. It was a pain in the ass to use, having to step and hold down and what not. I have a hard enough time tapping stomp box switches seamlessly; but to tap and hold and play, and have it come out sounding musical? Ugh. My head hurts just thinking about it.
Brooks Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 +1. it was fun for awhile, but like the whammy pedal its kinda gadgety and not that useful in most regular musical situations.
Special J Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 I picked one up pretty recently. The distortion itself sounds very much like a DS-1. As everyone else said, it's neat but not as useful as you might think. I do the controlled feedback thing a lot, but this is really more of a synthesized feedback tone. I would suggest an E-bow for the same effect.
owen Posted March 8, 2009 Author Posted March 8, 2009 thanks guys! I have an e-bow and was looking for something that I wouldn't have to use with my hands. Thanks though!!

I had one ( Super Distortion Feedbacker- same thing) for a few months and found it to be a serviceable distortion tone, but the "feedback" effect had a weird modulation to it I could never dial out and it sounded kinda cheesy. It was a lovely shade of orange and blended with the Boss chorus and delay pedals nicely. The Ebow is much cooler, but requires a bit of a learning curve. You could always just crank it up and look for the sweet spot.
