jjguitarranch Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 This bass is being auctioned by the bassist in my band Autumn Hour. He is a straight shooter and great guy. I can't believe he's selling it:( http://cgi.ebay.com/HAMER-12-String-STANDA...93%3A1|294%3A50Item:220382839389
Feynman Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 We have already been drooling over it, here:http://www.hamerfanclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=33855Very nice.
hamertek98 Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 I don't have a need for more than 4. If I wanted a multi...that would be killer. If I was still working, that bass might be on the wall. Or in rotation.Does your friend like amps and speakers? Other 4 string Hamer basses? Musicman basses?

I can't believe he's selling it:( http://cgi.ebay.com/HAMER-12-String-STANDA...93%3A1|294%3A50Item:220382839389That bass was floating around a couple years back for a couple hundred dollars LESS. The guy who ordered it refused delivery...Hamer had to blow it out after a mod.I originally was going to buy it back then but had to go out of town and it was unavailable a month later.I emailed and spoke to your bassist on the phone a number of times this week about the bass and how I missed it last time and would buy it. We set up a meeting last night in Jersey...I had to drive 2.5 hours to meet him through NYC rush hour traffic. When I got there...he then says "oh....THAT's not the price (the $1900, no reserve) that's just the opening bid." I wished him good luck and left.BTW...The neck feels chunkier/thicker than other Hamer 12vers I've played, for any interested buyers.
jtodd Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Hey Jon,Speaking of deals why don't you call me today? Babylon Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 WOW!Imagine a stand up guy and a straight shooter that would actually set up a meeting with an actual buyer and then totally waste his time by having him drive 2.5 hours each way to NOT sell the bass? I see the bass has an opening bid with no reserve, and has no bids on it. How much is this bass? Seems kinda FISHY to me......just my two cents.-Babylon
