Surfanarchist Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 I'm new to Hamers so I have no idea if this is of interest or not. I saw it and thought I'd share. FYI, I've no dog in this hunt. Unless of course it's some incredibly under priced one of a kind rarety. (If so let's just forget I posted anything here. Shhhhhh......be very quiet....)http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/mld/msg/1118299389.html"This is a real Hamer Phantom from the 80's. It is in great shape. Works great. I can send more pictures if you email. All original. Includes Case."
zorrow Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 WOW! I bet that one won't last... Hard to to remain zen, as I love those Phantoms with 6-in-line headstocks. It's in addition white, so... cool stuff!
serial Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 I realize I got mine for a real steal from Dave's (1/3 this guy's asking price or less than the HFC rate), but I think he and the price are a little high. Then again my Phantom might just be the best gig guitar Ive ever owned, so I wouldn't sell mine for twice what he's asking.
zorrow Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Yeah Serial, I remember you got for 350, right? But still 1K I think is a fair price for what it is. -- haven't seen many Phantoms with 6-in-line headstocks around, to be frank...

They did an awesome setup on the guitar too.
cmatthes Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 I think it's a little on the high side, but within the acceptable range to me for that one. Maybe at the top end, since it isn't a GT, but not insane. Probably will see that price dealt a bit lower within a few weeks, since there isn't a big local market for those guitars at that price.
ecnal Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 1. Is that a Kahler? Hard to tell from pics; there wasn't a third choice at the time besides K or FR, was there?2. Is that what the original case looks like?
