I have another Marshall that I'm letting go of..It's a 1986 model 2204 50 watt master volume that really sounds awesome in stock form. Just retubed it with JJ-EL34's biased at 35.5 mv..3 new old stock boogie 12AX7 A's This one has the horizontal inputs that lets you know this is the type that the controls are pcb mounted (stated for you ptp snobs..hehe).The amp is in excellent condition cosmetically and internally and I'm letting it go for $650.00 shipped!! :D

and what about the Canadian JCM 800 clone? I'm still waiting...

Hey Scott!...did you want that one?? Anyways..I've sent it to Metropoulos Amps in Michigan to have it rewired with a point to point board along with a few other tweaks and such...It need it and it's gonna be a great amp once it's done I think? :D

geez man, what was wrong with it? Your amp tech had it for a long time right? I'm still looking for a cheap 100 watt tube or SS backup head in the $350 and under range.

If you are into the rock thing, I would recommend the Randall RG 80 heads from the early 80's. They are solid state and they sound good for classic rock (Marshall esque) tones. Several major acts toured with them. They would make a great backup and are available on Ebay for about $200.

Hey Scott! it was just cheaply built in the preamp and control circuit...everything else was heavy duty and I just wanted it done correctly :D

But are the RG 80's loud? I'm kinda used to playing at a certain volume and my experiance with ss amps has been not so great. I think they sound good, but I've never played one that is loud enough...you know?
