Very nice, clean...way overpriced though.

The two of these look like stock Blitz Basses rather than Standards. Are there any other differences other than a one piece body for a Standard as opposed to 3 piece for a Blitz?

The Standard basses have a bound top. The pickup arrangement is different too; only the Blitz came with the P/J setup (Dimarzios with smooth black covers) like in the above pictures.

(At least I think that's right - feel free to correct me anyone).

The ad claims it to be a neck through construction. That's probably not right. I'm guessing it's a set neck.

Neck/neck joint are different on the Blitz basses too. More of a production-oriented construction v. the more hand-worked joints on a Standard bass. They are also set necks, as SpecialK mentioned, not thru-necks. It seems like most people (and even many dealers) don't know the difference, and use those terms interchangeably.

The Blitz basses also have the beveled edges, instead of the bound top or sharper, finished edges that some unbound Standard basses have. Not 100% sure on this, but seem to recall that most Standard basses I've played had slightly thicker bodies as well.

Another white Hamer Standard/Explorer bass for sale (also in New Jersey...hmmmm)

Exact same bass!

For being named the "Standard" Bass....not too much that was "standard" on them besides the shape, the top body edge NOT being beveled like on the Blitz and maybe the neck joint? (but I suspect that even must've changed since they were hand fitted, no?) And, as below, they were not always bound bodies.
