MIB Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 My first car was a 68 Javelin. It cost $750 and I paid $250 to have it completely overhauled in 1971. I always wanted an AMX, but the old Javelins are not very collectible. Frankly, they were very poorly made. I always had problems with little stuff, like window cranks, door locks, starters and carburetion. The little stuff, plus an overhaul at less than 50,000 miles, makes me wonder why I would want another.
moparmagic Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 about every one on my street is into old muscle. my nabor to the right likes old chevys. me and my dad like old mopars. and my nabor on the left has a gremlin with a sbc. its scary fast
hamerhead Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 If you bought one like the bottom one, you got it like the top one.
Jimbilly Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 One of the cool aspects of the AMX is; I see old Camaros/Corvettes/Mustangs almost every day, replica Cobras every sunny weekend (cool cars, but even if it's a real one everybody thinks its a replica). I can hardly remember the last time I saw an AMX on the road.
specialk Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 I can hardly remember the last time I saw an AMX on the road. There's a reason for that,
