elduave Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 A Triple Coil pickup, the neck single coil, 5-way switch, some screws and springs, and a mounting ring made by my outside repair guy, Roger Kincaid. The ring was made for my former Iceman and will fit these pickups, but not sure of how it will fit a Phantom. $140 shipped (US) for the lot.
cmatthes Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 Don't you feel awful for parting out a rare guitar like that? It's like gutting Bambi, I tell ya... :D (I'm kidding, of course)
mc2 Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 This brings up something I've wondered about....Does one HAVE to use the Hamer PUP (double + single) to make a Triple Coil setup work properly or can you use any pair of pther PUPs that have bases that fit together into the triple ring?

Either that or you could rout the wood under the pickguard to accept a standard strat-style triangular base. I decided to have a custom pickup made for mine.
Travis Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 In my old Prototype I had a Duncan humbucker and a DiMarzio HS2 (or HS3, can't remember) in the triple ring and they fit pretty well.
serial Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 My workhorse Phantom has Duncan single coils-Ive never looked under the hood on this one though-it's SO good that I think I've only changed the strings once on it since I got it in March of 05 and I play it at every gig! Maybe Ill look if/when I change strings again...
elduave Posted July 29, 2009 Author Posted July 29, 2009 Bump for lower price. $140 shipped in the US, plus actual ship outside.Edited to add, dude, what's your trip?
