gorch Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 We had the discourse here recently. Now it seems to be available to the public: HAMER 1982 USA SUNBURST in the bay.
zenmindbeginner Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Hmmm... if I remember right, the guitar went for $585 I think. It's interesting how being bought by a guy from Chicago made the value of the guitar jump up $200 during the last few weeks. I personally find it tacky to buy a guitar on eBay and turn around and immediately try and sell it for a handsome profit. He'll never get $800 for that guitar, what a tool. You've got a good eye Gorch.
GaryT Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Did you see the JUMP of the P-90 Neport Pro we were talking about a week of so back? Freaking dude pulled the auction with no-reserve when it looked like time was gonna run out at $750. with 6 bids.Turned right around and re-listed for $1475. or something close to that. Something else eh.
Scooter Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Time out. What's wrong with turning a profit? Many times I hit the BIN of a new listing that was undervalued just so I could make a buck.I hope you don't buy stocks high just to sell them low...(FWIW, I have NO relation to the deals mentioned above.)
kurtsstuff Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 People seem to think it's perfectly normal when"they" make a profitbut scream like a bitch when someone else does or tries to..Strange??
zenmindbeginner Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 (FWIW, I have NO relation to the deals mentioned above.) Neither do I. Time out. What's wrong with turning a profit? Many times I hit the BIN of a new listing that was undervalued just so I could make a buck. I actually said that I thought that it was "tacky" to turn right around and resell it as soon as it arrived in the mail, I didn't by any means say that it was wrong. If you can make a buck in this economy by doing just that, then power to ya. We all gotta eat. When I say tacky, I mean "not my style" or something that I wouldn't be comfortable doing. People seem to think it's perfectly normal when"they" make a profit but scream like a bitch when someone else does or tries to..Strange?? Thanx for the insight into human nature, it was very thought provoking.
