i have a most excellent Studio Custom Redwood LTD...
when the p/u selector is in the center position... if you touch the tip of the switch (as if you're gonna switch it to neck or bridge p/u) there is a scratchy noise... quite loud... very annoying. if you switch it one way or the other hard and fast, it's barely noticeable... but it you're a bit slow in switching p/u's... it's pretty darned scratchy. i'm not talking about a grounding issue... it's more like the internal contacts have some sort of issue. dirty perhaps???
so... can this scratchy noise be cleaned up some how? is there a way to clean the contacts? or is it a bad switch? or is it something else?
