serial Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 Nice score Steve!I took my Sparklebird to rehearsal after seeing this thread - it's a real nice player - wish could find one of the single pup versionsThat era of Bluesbird are great guitars, and bargains ( in my mind ) that you can pick up from around 850 - 1250 ( non sparkle ) Usually on the lighter side - they are chambered, and some of the latter have some real nice chunky necks.Wish I had the iced tea burst Bluesbird I sold about 2 years ago - the only better neck I have than that one is my BC Rich SeagullI think that the single pickup version was custom made for Steve Marker. Very cool either way!
cmatthes Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 They actually did a run of single pickup BBs back in the early '00s out of the Custom Shop. I've only seen a small handful, including Steve Marker's Black Holoflake one. I am looking for THIS ONE (or one just like it): Someday...

Looking forward to some UK-brewed AC30 top-boosted goodness though. This is the only place I'd feel comfortable spending a hundred bucks to send a rare guitar to a stranger without a penny having arrived in my bank account.

There are so e great people here-I've bought guitars and shipped them to HFCers and gave had a couple do the same for me. Can be almost surreal sometimes, but a great thing.
