veatch Posted March 23, 2010 Author Posted March 23, 2010 It's a monster. Not as articulate as the Artist or the Earthen Maple Studio, but it has a crushing tone and is great for rawk - especially leads.If it had the vintage carve neck, it would never leave...:/

Armitage Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 I wouldn't call it a Vintage carve (big)... but I'd have to check though. I ordered it new after playing one with a killer (to me) burst... then I got the UnBurst and it broke my heart. It probably doesn't have an hour of play on it since '95.

I ordered it new after playing one with a killer (to me) burst... then I got the UnBurst and it broke my heart. It probably doesn't have an hour of play on it since '95.Probably has the same carve neck as the one i have (it's a '96). There's not too much difference between the modern carve and the Vintage, about 0.10 to 0.15", but i notice a difference in the comfy factor.
