bobbymack Posted August 13, 2005 Posted August 13, 2005 OK, just found out I have to spring for a new car so here goes: '00 Gibson R7 Goldtop -- WCR Goodwoods w/ aged nickel covers, bone nut, aged lightweight tailpiece, RS electronics, beefy neck, under 8 1/2 lbs. Guitar was formerly owned by Nashville touring / session pro, is in "lightly relic'd", played condition - numerous scratches, none to the wood, a few minor dings, none to the wood, VERY minor fretware in cowboy chord area. Guitar is structurally 100% and plays and sounds great. No COA, has OHSC. If you're looking for a player's R7 to gig with, here ya go. Looks like an old one, no need to worry about preserving its pristine condition, and all the upgrades are done. $1700 shipped in lower 48 (the pickups alone are 3 hundy...) '04 Gibson R9 -- WCR Darkbursts w/ nickel covers, bone nut, RS electronics, TonePros AVR II nickel bridge w/ locking studs. This is a great sounding Les Paul, as my luthier said, "Tonally superior". Handpicked for me by and bought new from Vic DaPra in Spring of '04. This was Vic's description: "This 8-lb. 12-oz. 1959 Les Paul Historic Reissue has a simply STUNNING flamed maple top that is just breathtaking!!! The top has a gorgeous flamed/quilted/chevroned thing happening that is nearly impossible to describe!!! ...Brutal, brutal guitar!!!" Some minor play wear, overall excellent + condition. COA, OHSC included. $3250 shipped in lower 48

Guest Scott_F Posted August 14, 2005 Posted August 14, 2005 What can I sell to buy that R9? Good lord that's a keeper. I already have an R6 Goldtop, R7 Refin, R8. Hmm.... what to sell, what to sell....
Brewmaster Posted August 14, 2005 Posted August 14, 2005 If that R7 is anything like mine it should smoke.
