KeyOfZ Posted August 17, 2005 Posted August 17, 2005 My Artist Custom was completed on Monday so I asked my dealer to get it shipped 2 day so I could have it before the weekend. He didn't get ahold of them until yesterday so they already shipped it. So Frank Rindone sent my dealer an email saying that they had already shipped it out yesterday (Tuesday August 16th) via Regular UPS. My dealer is in Livermore CA. Does this mean UPS Ground? I guess that means I won't get it until Monday? Any help on what I can do to get the shipment expidited in transit? Thanks,
silentman Posted August 17, 2005 Posted August 17, 2005 I doubt that it will be there on Sat. It would be the next buis. day. (mon). I saw some pics of your guitar. If you ever sell - hahaha - it's a guitar that I'd order with many of those upgrades!
MCChris Posted August 17, 2005 Posted August 17, 2005 Once it's on the truck, I think all you can do is pray to Christ it arrives in one piece.

Thanks, Wow...I thought I was the only Hamer freak in Livermore!! ...Oh yeah...Dave at the music source in Livermore...Forgot about him....
kizanski Posted August 17, 2005 Posted August 17, 2005 Any chance you could get a tracking number? That would take the guess work out of it.In my experience, a full week is the norm for coast to coast UPS ground. If it went out yesterday, I wouldn't expect it until Wednesday (unless it was put on the truck yesterday at dawn).Once your dealer recieves it, I would hope there would be some setup and inspection of the instrument before it is turned over to you. This also might not be done same day.Are you within driving distance of your dealer?
KeyOfZ Posted August 17, 2005 Author Posted August 17, 2005 Looks like Monday or Tuesday according to the UPS website. That's cool, this will just be one of the slowest weeks of my life. As long as it gets here in one piece.... Dave is a really cool dealer/friend. I grew up in Livermore and originally wanted a Fender Stratocaster as my first "real" guitar back when I was like 20 and could finally afford one. Dave turned me on to Hamer USA guitars, I originally wanted a Californian Elite but I couldn't afford it. I opted for a Daytona and the rest is histroy. Livermore is on my way home from work now (Walnut Creek to Tracy) so Dave and Valley Music Source are still my numero uno music store.
Luke Posted August 17, 2005 Posted August 17, 2005 Is that Livermore light bulb still burning? When you break 40 that week in transit seems like nothing anymore, wasn't Christmas last month?
cmatthes Posted August 17, 2005 Posted August 17, 2005 Dave is a GREAT guy. He's still got some cool Hamers, but has had a number of really cool things pass through his hands/shop over the years.
Guest pirateflynn Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 I can't wait to see your finished guitar!
