dobieboy Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 I'm looking to find a creme toggle switch tip for my Hamer Standard. I've noticed that the screw threads are longer than a Les Paul switch.Any suggestions as to where I can get one. Thanks!
BadgerDave Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 Sorry, long cream switch tips are unobtainium. You can cut down the threaded part and use a Gibson tip or just screw one on and leave a bit of exposed thread. The Hamer ones come in black only.
DaveH Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 I cut all my switch studs down for the short bats, it's just a personal preference. Push a piece of printer paper down over the stud to protect the finish, and whack it off with a Dremel and cut-off wheel.
David B Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 What's the deal with the yellow switch tips on some of the new Hamers? Are they the same size as the black ones?

Are they the same size as the black ones? I ordered an "orange/yellow" one to ship it along with the Black beauty. I think a regular Gibson tip won't fit in, but I guess they are obtainable from a Hamer dealer... I guess... at least I have specified that mine was for a Hamer Standard... let see if it fits properly. Cheers, Juan
Thundernotes Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 There are various tips available for Switchcraft switches at Antique Electronic supply. $1.75 ea.http://www.tubesandmore.com/scripts/foxweb...amp;PAGE=SUBCATI'm not sure if they're the ones you're looking for, but they have both Gibson and the Switchcraft parts.
Tally-Ho Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 The amber switch tip on my Talladega Pro is fits my Gibson switches. The switch has a short shaft unlike any of my other Hamers.
