Mindseyes Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 Ok so me and my band are starting to do some acoustic gigs and I was pondering amplification ideas.I was thinking about picking up a powered monitor to run my acoustic into, I have a LRBaggs para DIthat I would plug my guitar into then from thereiwould send a signal to the FOH system and the otherto my powered monitor. The way I'm thinking this would work would be like this,on smaller gigs I could position the PMbehind me facing the crowd to help get my sound out to thecrowd and on bigger gigs I would have greater controlover hearing myself. So what do you guys think, good or bad idea?
gorch Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 When it works it works. Did you give it a try yet?
Jimbilly Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 I think that would work well, good idea. The LRBaggs should work great in between your guitar and the powered monitor.
LostArt Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 if is is 2 way or 3 way you will get a good sound

Ok so me and my band are starting to do some acoustic
gigs and I was pondering amplification ideas.
I was thinking about picking up a powered monitor
to run my acoustic into, I have a LRBaggs para DI
that I would plug my guitar into then from therei
would send a signal to the FOH system and the other
to my powered monitor.
The way I'm thinking this would work would be like this,
on smaller gigs I could position the PM
behind me facing the crowd to help get my sound out to the
crowd and on bigger gigs I would have greater control
over hearing myself.
So what do you guys think, good or bad idea?
