geoff_hartwell Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 The heel shape is different - A Tele neck is more square on the end, whereas a Strat neck is more rounded so there are issues in the neck pocket shape. It is the same scale (25.5") but getting it just right will take some finesse. Geoff
burningyen Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 It should fit fine, assuming the holes were drilled consistently, and assuming you don't mind having some air between the sides of the butt end of the neck and the pocket due to the round vs. square issue Geoff mentioned.Conversely, getting a Tele neck on a Strat would require some routing.
serial Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 I've used Tele necks on Strats for many years and never had an issue. In fact, the best Strat I've owned (and played for 15 years or so), had a Tele neck on it most of the time I had it.
