Hamer logo inlay option....

I was wondering if anyone else got the MOP logo inlay on a guitar that usually doesn't come with it.

My Artist Custom was ordered with headstock and F-hole binding but Hamer threw in the Hamer logo inlay for free.

Is it included with the extra binding option?

Maybe they didn't like the way it would have looked with the standard logo on the headstock?

My 2002 Artist Custom has it too. I guess it's standard on the Artist Custom.

I think it is standard on all Custom models.

I didn't order it on my V8 but it came on it anyway. I did order the headstock binding. I wanted the stadium logo because of the size of the headstock. In the end I like the inlay better, it looks cool.

I understood that the inlaid logo was standard on models with "Custom" appointments. I don't believe I was charged for it on my B-4M with headstock binding last year. I also had heard that the "Stadium" logo was no longer available after Dan V's Standard Bass was completed (that was the only one they had left, apparently!). Not sure what the story is with that exactly right now, but that is a cool look on the right headstock.

I special ordered a Newport Pro. The only thing special about it was a maple top and opaque black color. It came with the MOP inlay. I was surprised.

Believe every custom order gets the MOP inlay. Not an official policy, but an observed trend.

I don't know... I've paid for it on 2 out of 3 of my custom orders. The rumor was that guitars over a certain pricepoint would get it in the early days. I dunno if that is really the case.

Well in looking at Willcuts site, the Artist Customs have 2 with the MOP Inlay and 2 without.

I sure am glad I got one with.
