I'm in between places and my recording gear, humble as it is (basically just an audio interface and a couple mics), is in a commercial storage facility. But I want to monitor myself practising, recording ideas and such. What I've got is a digital camera, an Olympus PEN E-P1, with a shoddy built-in mic that clips way too easily. Another hassle is that I've only got a pair of fairly low-end headphones to listen with. But I'm trying to make this work. I just want something that's okay for playback later on, when I want to edit longer sessions and extract ideas.
So - do you find this sound usable? Noise levels bearable? I should add that it's recorded with a so-called 'art filter' in a grainy B&W quality, rendered even grainier by youtube encoding. As far as I can tell, the audio survives better.
